Getting to Uluwatu Temple

Uluwatu Temple is located at the southwestern tip of the Bukit Peninsula, approximately 30km south of Denpasar and 45km from Ngurah Rai International Airport. The easiest way to get there is by private car or scooter.

🚗 By Car or Scooter (Recommended)

Most visitors rent a car with driver (IDR 500,000–700,000/day) or a scooter (IDR 60,000–80,000/day). The drive from central Bali takes about 45–60 minutes depending on traffic.

Parking is available at the temple complex — free for motorbikes, IDR 10,000 for cars.

🚕 By Taxi or Ride-Hailing

Grab and Gojek operate in the area. From Kuta or Seminyak, a ride-hailing trip costs approximately IDR 150,000–200,000. Note that signal can be patchy near the clifftop.

🚌 By Public Transport

Limited public transport options exist. The most practical option is to take a bemo (minibus) from Denpasar or Kuta to Uluwatu, then a short taxi or walk to the temple entrance.
