👘 Dress Code

Sarong and sash (selendang) are mandatory for all visitors. These are provided free of charge at the entrance — no extra fee. Shoulders and knees must be covered, and you'll need to remove your shoes at the temple entrance.

Pro tip: Wear a cover-up or lightweight scarf over your clothes if visiting directly from the beach.

🐒 Monkey Warnings

Long-tailed macaques are everywhere — including the path up to the temple. They are aggressive and will steal sunglasses, phones, hats, and food. Never feed them, keep valuables secure, and consider wearing a headlamp or cap you don't mind losing.

🎭 Kecak Dance Schedule

The famous Kecak fire dance is performed daily at 6:00 PM (subject to seasonal changes). Entry to the dance is included in the temple entrance fee — no separate ticket required.

Tip: Arrive 30–45 minutes early to secure a good viewing spot. Seats fill up quickly during peak season.
